Description

Getting Started with Gifts of Cryptocurrency

Do your donors own cryptocurrency? The answer to that question is likely yes. While cryptocurrency is highly volatile, acquisition of cryptocurrency has occurred at a rapid pace. It is estimated that there are over 100 million active cryptocurrency users. Is your organization prepared to answer the question, "Do you accept gifts of cryptocurrency?"

Kristen will cover the basics of how to get started with gifts of cryptocurrency including the tax requirements, gift and sale options, complex gifts, gift acceptance policies, and more. Walk away with a plan for accepting gifts of cryptocurrency for your organization. You will also hear from fellow nonprofits about their experiences in preparing for and accepting cryptocurrency gifts.
